The mission of Asiu

The American Service is a 501c3 nonprofit with thorough experience in supporting Ukrainian newcomers to the United States, headquartered in the state of Minnesota, with staff in Ukraine and Poland. Our mission is:
contribute to the achievement of self-sufficiency for people who came to start their life from 0
increase the level of awareness of immigrants regarding their rights, responsibilities and opportunities in the USA
support Ukraine by supporting Ukrainians in the US - these people donate a lot to the Ukrainian army, support their relatives and friends, helping our country.
facilitate the process of immigration and adaptation

Get involved
We began in March 2022
As a group of volunteers, helping Ukrainians relocate to the United States to live in a safe environment where they can work, study, and save up money to send back home.

From the beginning of our work to this day, we have made significant progress:

Aswar Rahman founded the American Service in Ukraine in March 2022 in Lviv.

Returning to Minnesota, Aswar continued to direct ASIU, and together we helped more than 200 families with immigration and adaptation during 2023.
In 2024, Aswar focuses on his projects, the management of the ASIU organization was handed over to Taras Zhmurko and Sofia Rudenko. We are forever grateful to Aswar for his incredible contribution.
